We had 3 games in the NBA tonight:
Game 1:
OKC Thunder: 93
Minnesota Timberwolves: 99
The Thunder's 12 game winning streak was snapped by the Twolves Thursday night in a great team effort by the home team. The Timberwolves, as has been their usual style, dominated the paint tonight, getting big games from Kevin Love and Nicola Pekovic. Love scored a team high 28 points, grabbed 11 boards and had 7 assists. Pekovic had 24 points (18 in the first half) and 10 boards. Also providing huge lifts to the Twolves were JJ Barea (18 points) and rookie Alexey Shved (12 points, 12 assists, and 7 boards) who not only stretched the floor with his shooting but took the Ricky Rubio role of creating easy shots for his teammates. He was huge in this one. The Thunder got big games from Russell Westbrook (30 points, 9 assists and 11 rebounds) and Kevin Durant (33,6,7) but got nothing from their bench. The Thunder's bench scored only 7 points.
Game 2:
Dallas Mavericks: 95
Miami Heat: 110
The Heat costed to this win Thursday. 5 heat scored in double digits led by Lebron's 24. Dwayne Wade an incredible +-(point differential while the player is on the floor) of +40. Dallas had 6 players in double figures but hit only 3 of 22 three pointers.
Game 3:
Denver Nuggets: 93
Portland Trailblazers: 101
The Trailblazers won this one despite allowing the Nuggets to out rebound them by 9 and score 74 points in the paint. The Nuggets also dominated the fast break scoring 31 points compared to just 7 by the Blazers. What did the Nuggets in was their horrendous 3 points shooting The Nuggets were 0-22 from downtown.
