The Indiana Pacers, one of the budding teams in the East, had to digest some difficult news today; Their all-star forward, Danny Granger, will be out 3 more months after having an injection to treat patellar tendinosis in his left knee. While thje pacers are still off to a respectable 2-2 start, this news will no doubt cast a shadow on whether or not this team can meet the expectations some have placed on them after they gave Miami a tough series last year in their postseason matchup. Granger led the Pacers in scoring last year with 18.7 point per game. He had averaged over 20 a game the previous three seasons before last including a career high 25.8 points per game in the 2008-2009 season.
Pacer brass and fans are hoping that star-in-the-making Paul George continues his upward progression. George, through the first four games, has averaged 14 points, 10.5 boards, 4 assists, 2 blocks and a steal. This young man has incredible potential due to his combination of great length and athleticism at the 2 guard spot. Look for the Pacers to increase George's role in the offense as the season moves forward.
In fantasy related news, if you can get Paul George, due so.
